Options LEND Closet Back to all Services
For those of you who are not familiar, Options has a used adaptive equipment loan program (LEND) with donated durable medical equipment that is given out to persons who need the equipment and don’t have adequate insurance to purchase such items. The inventory varies but typical items include walkers, crutches, commodes, high rise toilet seats, etc. From time to time we get manual and electric wheelchairs, three-wheeled scooters, lift chairs and stair glides, and may other items. Along with the items listed we currently have a "Stand Aid," which is an electric stander.
We Need…
Options has had record utilization of our LEND program the past six months. As a result, we are in desperate need of good used equipment such as manual wheelchairs, tub transfer benches and other adaptive aids. If you or someone you know has items such as these, please give Options a call to arrange to drop off donated items. Options will provide a tax receipt indicating the equipment donated.
NOTE: We cannot assign a price or value to equipment. That is the responsibility of the donor.
IndependenceFirst Mobility Store
For items that we cannot use, Options collaborates with IndependenceFirst Mobility Store (formerly Wheelchair Recycling Program) to give them items to be refurbished and resold at a significantly reduced price to the community.
